How to clean my hockey gear, football and lacrosse equipment?Apr 03, 2013
How do I clean my hockey gear?
I have been around stinky hockey gear for over 30 years and have tried many different ways to wash, spray and clean the odor out of my gear. The main key is to keep equipment dry by airing it out anywhere you can. Sports gear of all kinds are susceptible to odor causing bacteria, mold, mildew and viruses(MRSA) that can not be taken out of the equipment without sterile methods. Hot water will kill bacteria, but is not recommended by manufacturers, because it can damage equipment. Also bleach will kill odor, but not all mold and it is unsafe for the fabric because it will break it down. Ozone works temporarily, but can't be used on wet gear. Sprays may work, but you have to spray regularly. Would you spray your favorite shirt and wear it again? How about washing your gear in cold water using a sports gear wash that is 100% guaranteed to kill odor, mold, mildew and viruses in ten minutes and you can clean it while it's wet and then have it work for up to 12 weeks with no cover smell. Team Clean Gear, Inc. has found a new 100% biodegradable product safe on most fabrics. Your gear will be so clean you could sleep right next to it and not notice the smell. Lacrosse gear never smelled so good. Hockey gear, football equipment, lacrosse gear doesn't have to stink anymore. Our mission is to bring back all sports gear to it's original smell and help against the fight of game ending viruses like (MRSA) staff infections and the flu (H1N1)!
